That's more like the shocks are broken than the Spider!!?? I am posting a vid shortly on how to replace a Spider on an LG. And if you have Bad water? the spider will ROT and snap! I Paint the new spider with Rust shield so it won't happen again! Definitely a weak link in ALL front load machines!!!!!!!
This issue is common with front loaders. The spider arms go in them. Your lucky if it last 2 years. The thing is they won't fix this as it is a well know design flaw. Aluminum arms attached to stainless tub. Heavy corrosion occurs and it will need a whole new tub. The repair quote is more then what most of the washers are worth. I've just spent 2 day researching this cause mine did the same thing. Thousands of people are affected...
WOW, I'm having the same problem. It's not the floor it's on. It's the shaft assembly that's attached to the back of the turning drum thats cracked. The part cost $499. GE has a back order on that part, so they say. I believe that they're not making that part anymore. That's why Sears don't want to touch it. I'm contacting the BBB, Attorney general and GE"S customers relation depart. You may want to do the same.
I do not know what to do , they say they rebuilt my washer at sears and they will no longer try and put parts on it or replace it , in the mean time it does not wash or spin right it knocks like this other video on here does--- and i have a warranty with Sears and they will not but anymore parts on it or replace it - what do i do? It still knocks and they say it is what it is on not the washer and are putting me off and i have a warranty!!!
