I don't like their new stuff at all and they certainly arn't the next Metalllica but im sure they have accepted that themselves by now. I'm throwing in with the lot who say they like both CoB and Norther. It's hard to compare the two in terms of objective quality; Their styles are different.

I like CoB for the fast-paced, hard-hitting, high energy rocking. I enjoy Norther for their less hard-hitting but more epic feel.

Both of them blow cheesy power-metal bands like Dragonforce out of the water, IMO. :)

Children of Bodom are a good band, Norther are a good band.. There's too many kickass bands to say one's better than the other, because each band all have greats, and song's which aren't as good as the rest. I cant even remember how this argument started, but Im really getting into Norther now. Theyve some good songs, musically well structured. Some really great melodies and the clean vocals work brilliantly alongside the more screamed aspects. The guitar work is pretty commendable too, though not perfect to be honest.

Children Of Bodom are a personal preference, but everyone has preferences. To say I loved both bands equally would, Im afraid, be naught but a lie. ;) Just my opinion...
