Holy crap! the best scene ever! the moment he was about to kiss Elizabeth I was smiling like a fool and elbowing my best friend lol. If men ever wonder what woman really want, one word, Darcy :p
I too have read the book several time and I agree that the actors (especially him) have been fantastic! The original language version il overwhelming! He was a voice so warm and his eyes (in all the scenes of he film) transmit sensations so exciting! Their kiss (not given) is more intense that some sex's scenes! Wonderful
@lunabianca1 You wrote nothing but the truth. There´s more tension in this spoken words than in hundred "bed scenes".Touching!!! This actors and "our" Miss Austen-what a delightful interpretation.
Espero haberte ayudado :P
Even though I can't remember this being in the book ... I LOVE IT!
Matthew Mcfadyen is great Mr.Darcy. He's got that sweetness in his eyes so that You can see he's not indifferent when it comes to Elizabeth. I'd actually love to see Macfadyen playing Mr. Darcy in the long version. But, someone else should play Elizabeth, didn't like Keira in it :S
And still- Colin Firth is and will always be Mr.Darcy.
this one is no match for the 1995 movie. It's duller, disregards the book and slights all the dialogues. Plus, Collin Firth is sooo much sexier I must say :))
It's a pity (Though I really like this scene) that they downplayed all the beautiful dialogue from the book. The romance between them is also a bit unbalanced(in this movie), (you can see the lust in their eyes as he takes his leave at the end of the scene) it wasn't like that. Elizabeth had no feelings for him whatsoever.
I liked the scene, and the acting, and the movie, but sometimes they went a little overboard. Thanks for putting this video up, regardless.
okay, I know I just wrote a comment, but I just have to say one more thing: that I just slid off my chair. everytime I watch this scene, it's as if my bones are melting, it's so intense, so incredibly beautiful!
this scene is amazing in so many ways. It's a much different interpretation than the 1995 version had, but I might even like this a bit better. It's extraordinarily intense, and the way they show that bit of sexual tension and repression is brilliant. Bravo!
come on girls, all at once! AHHHHHHHHHH!!! this is my favorite sence in the whole movie!! so romantic!! every time i watch the movie (which is all the time!) i have to rewind and play it again!!!
SAVE ME!!! im falling in love with him!! ahh! lizzie! PICK HIM!! i love him! this is about the time when we began to throw popcorn at the scean at my friends New Years Eve party!
This is my fave scene frm the movie to, i also love Jane Austen and i love how they hate each other but are in love. Jane Austen was amazing and i think its sad that she never married.
Though it wasn't in the book(although it should have been), I thought it was clever of the director to have the actors almost kiss in this scene. It really worked and helped flesh out their love/hate relationship even more. This movie did the book SO much justice in my opinion. Anyone else think so? Austen on screen. I love it. Thanks for posting.
my favorite one too. tks for putting it up so i don't have to play the dvd everytime i wanna see it.

Agreed, Darcy is chucking everything he's been raised to believe in out the window. His voice does not portray it at all.
