Just got around to seeing this movie on kookicá. Looked at the time when I had the plot figured out. 49 minutes. It runs 130. So I sat there for 80 minutes to see an ending that I knew. Yay. Anyways, good movie!

It's a toss up to which one I like better Dawn or Day. I kind of like the story and characters better in Day. In Dawn I felt there was a little more action involving the zombies and you have to love the social commentary that the movie made.

What a great voice over with that trailer, and the music is fantastic, too. I'll never forget seeing this for the first time in a theater and I couldn't stop thinking about it throughout the regular film I went to see. It appears so nuclear, so ultimately apocalpytic. I always throught Mr. Romero should have used his once-considered title, "Twilight of the Dead" for one of his films. I don't know why he never stuck with it. Anyway, great teaser trailer, totally reminiscent of the 80s.

In my opinion, DAY is more of an action movie than a horror. NIGHT was creepy and actually pretty scary in some parts, DAWN was a depressing and thoughtful horror film, LAND a remake of the original trilogy, DIARY was Blair Witch with zombies and SURVIVAL was.......I actually haven't seen it yet.

Man when i was akid in the 80's this movie was on of my favs and now it is my favorite zombie film ever. Dawn of the dead is great to but what a great fucking setting for day of the dead, underground bunker for that claustrophobic feel and some great makeup/effects for its time. Sadly Romeros newer zombie movies, dare i say, suck to me. Whoever made the new " day of the dead" should be fed to bub.

Newly infected Zombies can sprint for let's say the first 24 hours BEFORE rigor mortis sets in, after that they just shuffle because that's all their joints will allow plus the speed of their half dead brain cannot send signals to the limbs as quickly as is needed.
