As much as I love G Rap, he doesn't quite have that. Lyrically, G Rap has it with his clever lines, but KRS represents all elements of Hip Hop at its absolute best.

Kool G Rap Easily for me dude has one of the best flows of all time, and his story telling is amazing. Majority of this dude's discography is amazing. Krs One has alot of wack releases, and doesn't nearly have enough technical skill to hang with G Rap.

KRS is more significant in rap, I don't think that's disputable. He's a living representation of rap in its finest era. Not just the music, but the breaking, graffiti, DJing, beatboxing, etc... As much as I love G Rap, he doesn't quite have that. Lyrically, G Rap has it with his clever lines, but KRS represents all elements of Hip Hop at its absolute best.
KRS, G Rap, Rakim, and Kane... ALL top tier MCs.

I love Kool G Rap more but KRS was more subject wise. He was all about teaching while KGR mostly had his killing fantasies which I love listening to specially when I'm in the mood for pissing off someone.
I rate KRS higher in my list for his dedication to hip hop as well but both are in my top 5.

Personally, I like Kool G Rap much more. I have listened to both of these rappers for over 20 years now and both of them are brilliant in completely different ways.
KRS One's a intelligent person and has a lot of important things to say, which I have always respected and probably, more of us can relate to what he's speaking of.
But Kool G Rap just presents his shit in a way that I cannot ignore. seriously, Kool G Rap is one of the all time best gangsta rappers.

Back in the day nobody wanted to battle KRSONE...not only could he kick knowledge but his skill level was that of nobody else...I love g rap, kane, and Rakim but KRSONE was way ahead of his time. The song "My philosophy" predicted even in 1988 where hiphop was gonna go and he was right. The state of hiphop is in a crisis and he saw it coming...Nuff Respect to tha teacha and still doin it at 44 years of age

lyrically, the skill of making words rhyme.. its g rap hands down.
but krs-one drops more science on the mic. Which i why i say it depends on the hip hop fan.
personally i've heard more g rap because he got less albums and but krs has got just as many classics so you cant go wrong either way.

don't forget guys so called "modern" rap flow style now that WuTang,Nas,even Jay Z and others was started by G-Rap,Rakim as well but definately G rap created the "modern" NYC rhyming flow.
Without a doubt G Raps greatest work is his second album with Dj Polo "Wanted dead or alive" . After "Men at Work" off his first album-then cats started REALLY hearing his rhyme flow style.
If you don't have G-raps 2nd album you DON'T know G-rap -period.
