  • nice formations! and that pass at 3:42 was amazing!

  • Love it at 3:41 you guys are like the Blue Angles.

  • Great stuff mates! I'm a CCPM Heli dude myself, but it looks like great fun!

  • where did you find that camera?

  • March has a nice sound to it - and it allows Summer a chance to arrive.

(Obviously, getting a Swiss Post calendar was not a good idea - the seasons are hopelessly late and severely damaged.)

  • Well, setting the record for most AXN's in the air in one time is impossible because you need to be talking about one spific area. No telling how many people are flying AXN's RIGHT NOW any where in the world...

  • It would be funny if you invited the Chinese! They can come to the field and point to a plane and say "Hey I built that!" then point to another plane and say "Hey I made that one too!" and just go around the field going "I made that one too!"

  • im thinking of buying one and coming down in feb!!

  • @atreewithnolife Good news, we welcome everyone!

  • @xjet cheers ;)

  • you guys are kick ass

  • Hi guys.

My AXN is willing to donate its body to the cause from Auckland. She's a little different in that she has reverse-thrust, so may not perhaps keep up with Ron's steroid powered AXN, but should be able to stop quicker!

What's the plan regarding a meet??

    Cheers, argo-2

  • @argoUtube We need to make sure the weather is a little more settled. Maybe towards the end of February or even as late as Easter.

  • @xjet

Yep fair call. Our summer has gone on holiday this year.

Bulk email may be the go for notifying? If so: argo@vodafone.co.nz will find me.

    Cheers.

  • Well after watching the fun with the AXNs I ordered mine, DOH guess what happened, Chinese New Year starts a week later so it looks like I wont be seeing mine for a while,

Will be my first plane in 15 years, I did not have much luck with them back then so we shall see what happens now. I brought the ARF without the servos and sprang for the $3:00 digital single chip version. Battery and other odds and sods as recommended, Video on my channel, might need floats for my normal RC stomping ground.

  • @Nick75au1 you will have so much fun especially with these guys!

  • What's the difference between the AXN and the Bixler? They look very similar!

  • I hope you put your names on all the parts so you can find them! LOL Have a good time looks fun!

  • Can you please PM email or post it here, what the camera is that is shown at 1:45. Name, brand, cost? Thanks

  • For the world-wide simultaneous AXN record there is a bit of a challenge if not using local time..Or do we in the northern hemisphere need to add on LED's as they do in Ringebu to be able to participate :-) If it's local time I'm in! (if we don't have a snowstorm at that particular day)

  • looks like a lot of fun!

  • Where can I buy an axn RC plane?

  • nice 808 on board keychain cam

  • have any of you guys tried out uhf gear for your transmitter yet or does cclub rules state your not aloud that?

  • @dutchjones01 Why would we want UHF? 2.4GHz works just fine and dandy. Most of the club are either using Turnigy 9X with the stock RF or with the FrSky DIY conversion and we have had great success.

  • @xjet I think he had long range (30km+) FPV in his mind when he asked about using UHF.

  • @xjet You guys crack me up, @3'42 is that "Wrongway Ron" spitting the line hahahah!!!

Hobbyking if your watching how about a donation for trophys for the "Great Southern AXN Floatoff" I just spent money with you because of xjets recommend so come good and cough up!?!?!

  • @xjet G'day... Great clip ! That's a very interesting Idea, the YouTube Simultaneous Moment. Much more betterer than Jumbo-Loads of ANXious Floaties farting Kerosene Fumes for Konspiratorial Kiwis to be afraid of them "Chemtrails". Our personal Best, was to launch 27 Hang Gliders before the 1st one landed. Search 'Aerotowing Rogallos'... That was Inglewood, '94 or '95. 3 Tow-Teams, 66 Kites up, & 27 we dunnit !

  • That other field you once flew at would be having a heart attack if they saw flying like that!

  • I Love "The Crash Recovery Vehicle"!

    Thanks Guys!

  • I would join you guys but unfortunatly im over in aus :). would happily go flying at the same time you guys do the record to set an around the world record at the same time :)

  • @patchrules2000 Now that's a good idea -- a world-wide simultaneous AXN record. Hmmm... everyone could post their evidence to YouTube and we could tally up the numbers!

  • @xjet Well you can count me in and im sure others would be up for it also. we could sync and confirm all the videos with an online atomic clock website. so just in your video show a laptop screen showing the time from that page then show your axn in the air. easy way to verify the time :)

  • I realise now that we are doing our circuits all wrong. We've been going round in circles instead or backward and forwards! Your way looks much more fun :-)

  • We'll have to come up with a collective noun for Floater Jets.

How about, "A swerve of Axns?

  • @SidSideslip I was just thinking about that. How about a flutter of AXN's .... hahahaha

  • Well I turned mine AXN "RTR" on and the fist thing that happened was the aileron servo started smoking. When it stopped, the rudder one started smoking.. Hehehe so I'm still waiting for the reliable $2 orange servos to arrive to replace the blue smoke bombs.

  • @Hobby331 Yep - that's why I recommend getting the ARF version and fitting your own electronics. We've had quite a few of those RTF servos fail in some way or another.

  • Ron is the funniest :D

  • I've never seen a single flying wing in your videos. Does anyone there have a flying wing? I have several 'cause they're awesome. You can be the first flying-winger in NZ Bruce.

  • @CrackerMcGillicuddy Yep, we've had Brent's TekSumo on a couple of vids and there's even some video of Richard and I doing some nitro-combat with our custom-built combat wings. You'd be surprised what you'll find on this channel ;-)

  • @CrackerMcGillicuddy All our planes have wings..some not for very long tho

  • That had to be Ron at 3.44 eh? As for prizes for the AXN record attempt how about some gift wrapped crash bags ?LOL.Anyway, its going to be interesting I'm sure.Reckon HK will be happy to sponsor you the amount of free publicity you give them.

  • I am planning on buying an AXN soon, once I have all the parts sorted out that I need to buy I will begin to ordering.

  • @Kebozam Mine's in transit from HK, assuming it arrives in not too many pieces I'd be keen. Based in Hamilton, so not too far to travel.

  • "Yeah, you can fix that." Gold.

  • Is Ron a bin-man, and that green truck is his 'sweet ride'?

  • @jayc004 Nah, he just feels that the trash truck suits his flying style better :-)

  • Bruce I am awaiting your responce on the Imax radio case

    thank you bubbajoexx

  • haahahahah....

if i was in the middle i would have turned and knocked the others out the sky

  • @airsoftandrc what do you think we were trying to do..its the best way to avoid a collision

  • only if i had the money and the plane i'll fly over there to join in. but sadly here in the USA are money its doing so good :| but again i'll love to join

  • 4:02 maaan that was close :D

  • id like to bring mine, but im living in germany andthe flight would be a bit to expensive :D

  • What camera was that you was using on your AXN? Do you have a link to buy one? Thanks, great videos!

  • can i bring my AXN over

  • That sounds good - but specifying summer? An hour and a half of flying time seems a pretty small window of opportunity

  • Shame i'm in the UK .....That would be awesome to join in with loads of AXN's up there in the big blue ;o)

  • Man that's a lot of AXN's I may have to buy one after this video . . feeling somewhat left out :)
