she and I are amateur martial artists. Martial arts are about self mastery, self understanding, and discipline. Nothing about that diminishes our compassion for humanity. Martial arts in normal circumstances is a non violent channel for the aggresive drives in humanity. I haven't needed it for defense yet. if ever the time comes when I do then the skill and emotional control that martial arts has afforded me will ensure that I don't hurt my assailant any more than neccesary

You get money if you are hispanic, black, gay, poor etc. Or there is always the normal of getting scholarship money for college, getting good grades in high school and joining clubs and stuff. Erin Pizzey, the founder of the first battered women's shelters said that the women there were just as violent as the men they were escaping. And that was back in the 60's.
Fathers have always been vital to children. Today they are more likely to be allowed a few days a week/month of supervised visitation if that.

As for the "pay gap" that has long since been debunked. Women work fewer hours, take more time off, are less likely to negotiate higher raises, and work less dangerous high paying jobs than men. In the cases in which they do, they can make more than men. It's your choices that determine your pay.
