I often use Coyote-A to defeat mephisto.

How can you load the gun while you wehere fighting? (sry for my bad english. I´m from Germany^^)

You have unlimited ammo, so there's no delay in reloading.

Ah. On Automatic Mode, it happens automatically when enemies are nearby. On Manual, you hold down the Gun Attack button.

Either he's using Automatic, or he's holding down the Gun Attack button while he's fighting. DMC4 has adjustable controls so you can customize it to how you want it to be.
