@death4hiro it is converting to DC (u cant use AC for charging) it is charging slower because the power adaptor cant provide enought power to charge it faster (only about 1A). the car plug can provide about 50Amps and its limitating with internal resistors so it wont damage actual battery inside.

They shouldn't call this a Generator, because it's not. It's just a portable battery jump starter with a build in radio, compressor (for pumping up your tires), and flashlight. I have this and find it to be a very good product. So far, I've only used it once to jump start a vehicle and that was to jump start somebody's Dodge Caravan (or something similiar...think it was a Dodge, though). They asked me if I had cables, but I had this and it worked like a charm.
