An ARB bungee strap would of recovered the car alot faster, you just hook it up, and back up to his bumper and floor it a few times, the bungee stretches to absorb the shock but then recoils adding more force into the recover. I recovered a blazer stuck to the frame rails twice with one.
Let the winch do the work.
