  • Hmmmm.... 2 minutes of driving which is great....5+ minutes of a road and a hose , pretty boring

  • @gsarjos click on the "X" in the upper right hand corner of the screen, it will clos ethis out if you don't like this video and then you can move on to another better one...... Thanks

  • @KJB322 my words ! :-) stay save dude god bless y and everyone on the rig ! :-) Greez Chris Ladder 4 FDNY

  • @KJB322 Thanks, already done that.....

  • @gsarjos I think tha`s because these guys are working and not chatting !!!!! firest work and than everything else !!! FDNY Ladder 4

  • My question is why where they first due, but I saw the sign for a firehouse ahead?

  • @truckie3200 They were 1st due truck company. The sign is where the 1st due Engine is housed. We have (3) stations in town. Hope this clears up most of your questions.

  • @KJB322 now there are only 2

  • Ahh....old L65 and old Gay street bridge....btw, the PFD has some nice gear.

  • 4:06 why is there music?

  • We have a text program that sends the calls to our phones. One of the crew left his phone on the dash and never cleared the text before exiting the Ladder

  • wow im local to that wierd........cool vid check me out!

  • Um doe driving wit due regard ring a bell if its a fire it'll still be there when you get there. Drive with a sense of urgency but with regard to red lights and other traffic laws which still apply even with your lights on. Be safe

  • "Drive with a sense of urgency but with regard to red lights and other traffic laws which still apply even with your lights on."

in PA Fire apparatus may proceed through stop signs and traffic lights once the driver feels it is safe to do so without stopping. You are not in the truck to see the big picture like this driver is so you can not make that judgement fairly.

    Have a Nice day.

  • Couldn't have said it better myself. I love how many people are arm chair firefighters.

  • I agree with garf1eld you can do all the fire prevention in the world and accidents still happen. Although alot of fires in my book isn't a good thing, to some extent some can't be prevented. No matter how good or bad of a fire company you run with.

  • @TRUCK23EPFC Exactly, as long as we come back home thats the main thing.

  • I'm sorry Nagrom12, but your an idiot.

First, from a FF's view, you want to be at an active house so LOT and LOTs of fires. Secondly, we cannot prevent fires, we have fire prevention classes but that isn't going to stop random acts of stupidity, or accidents (leaks, shorts, etc).

Having a lot of fires is not a bad thing.

  • Do yaw have volunteer firefighters too

  • Whats with the fire truck street sign at 1:19? is there a station next door? If so why were'nt they first on-scene?

  • The best department would have no fires. Running a lot of them is not a good thing...

  • Sorry if less fires is a bad thing.

  • Yo people chill out on the negitive comments. Not everybody is guna be pefect especially when it comes to a workin fire. Everybody makes mistakes. As long as you get the job done thats all that matters.

  • Get on the ball... chase the kinks... A mistake that will sooner or later get sombody hurt. Do it in training and It will go right when it counts.

  • Thank You monday morning quarter backing. If you notice the one pulling the hose is not from that engine company as you can see he attempted to pull the whole load, but was not able to because of how it was packed. The 2nd guy told the 1st to just go and he would get the rest of the crosslay off. Team work...every hear of it?

  • would it have killed the guy from the suck comp. to pull the whole cross lay instead of just grapping the nozzle like a selfish pratt?

And just because you don't have to "stop" at red lights doesn't mean its ok to drive through them.

And you fail for having a green fire truck.

    What are you, commies? ;)

  • 1St ? : Do you know how to work as a team? We do & and we are happy the way we work together. Whether you are happy or not doens't matter to us. Should the Interior OIC(pulling last of the hose) be on the knob?

2)Because we "just because you don't have to stop at red lights doesn't mean its ok to drive through???" That is a moronic statement. It is ok to do it, but you are wrong for doing it???

  • oh, and the Trucks aren't green, they are slime..soon to be Black over red.

Go cry somewhere else. Don't like, Don't watch.

  • is it that hard for someone to to unkink the line?

  • Not be an ass but that cross lay would deploy a whole lot easier if it was packed as a shoulder load. And hey, how about taking a plug next time huh?

  • Do you know our Dept. policy and how many stations we run? We have 3-engines, 2-trucks,1-rescue, & 1 MICU on the initial box assignment(3 Borough companies and 2 mutual aid). It was minimal smoke condition and if you watched part 2...there was a suply line (closer hydrant was behind from where video was shot from)and the supply line was quickly established by the next engine that was less than 1 minute after this first arriving one.

  • corection make that 4 Engines

  • what is that music goin on in the background?

  • Thats the LT's nextel ringing from the Fire Text Paging. All the other beeps are the MDC.

  • are theese all phoenixville firemen?

  • Yup.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a station right on High Street? How in the world would you beat them from the other side of Phoenixville?

Or maybe I missed something, just found it odd.

  • The more I think about it, I suppose that is an sub-station or something.

  • You were correct the first time. Not the first this has happened. : ) Three seperate entities make up the PFD

  • Oh I know. Just surprising how they're a whole 1000 feet away or so, and you still beat them by a minute.

Not that it matters to me, I'm in Kimberton's first due area

  • Great video! Always nice to see a fireground setup.

  • at least the cop parked down the street, in stead of the parking in front of the house, like they always do.

  • that is such a true statement

  • At least they only were useing a federal Q,,,not that power call crap!!Good job guys..

  • I SECOND THAT. THE Q BY ITSELF IS PERFECT WITH JUST A FEW BLASTS ON THE AIR HORNS TO GET THROUGH ANYTHING. The electronic siren makes a good backup in case the Q decides not to work.

  • I stand corrected. That is good to know. In Massachusetts we have to stop and verify it is clear at all red lights and stop signs.

  • Those red things you see dangling at every intersection.. those are red lights.. you are supposed to stop at those even in a big red ladder truck with a Q2 siren

  • PA law allows for emergency vehicles to proceed through red signals and stop signs, but after slowing down a s neccessary for safe operation.

  • It's actually a big slim green ladder truck.
