  • I've seen this before. I didn't realize it was you. :) Thanks for sending it to me. Seamus is a very handsome schnauzer, and your portrait looks just like him. Good work!

  • I adore schnauzers. I want to make a big charcoal drawing of one. Seamus is so cute.

  • Good to hear from 4you.

Looking forward to seeing your big charcoal drawing:)

    All the best

  • beautiful and spirited rendering! I once painted my grandmother's Yorkie! (long long ago in another life!)

  • Seamus is BEAUTIFUL! And, you really DID "capture" him :) I used to dogsit a couple of minis--adorable doggies :D

  • Hello K

Good to hear from you. Are the mini's you talk about Miniature Schnauzers?

  • Yes! I just didn't want to mispell the words: Mini- Schnuauzers :) LOL!

  • We have to check every single time ourselves:)

  • That was absolutely amazing Thanks Clare :)

    x

    Brilliant Dog!

  • Thanks FK123

  • Hey you're partners, good luck. I have fond memories of a mini schnauzer called Barney.

  • Thanks very much there YL.

These little dogs are just great.

We were sorry to hear about your dog's recent passing.

    Wishing you all the best.

  • It is a wonderful picture! I like the blue which you used!

  • Thanks NJ, it was a joy to do.

  • We love Frofroom Lysa

    Hope the boys are good.

You've met the lovely Seamus already.

Love from great aunt - eek:)

  • Enjoyed seeing the dog portrait being made.

  • Enjoyed seeing the dog portrait being made.

  • that was a lovely behind the scenes type video, the dog is georgeous, love and respect scotty and libby:0)

  • Thanks very much S and L, good to hear from you.

I didn't think I talked quite so much to myself - or the dog:)

  • Great movie, great painting, great dog.

I love miniature schnauzers-- one of my profs in college was a former actor/stage manager on Broadway and he had a miniature schnauzer that was given to him by Dustin Hoffman on the opening night of "Jimmy Shine". The dog's name was shine.

  • Thanks GB

Min Schnauzers are really quite special.

    Shine's a great name for a dog.

  • Loved the painting and the cool subject. Nice documentary about an artist at work. Dog was interactive too, keep up the good work.

  • Thank you for your comment.

    Love your name there Damienlonglegs:)

  • Hi Folks

THanks for the video. I like dogs, dont have the time or living space to be able to keep one at the moment.

Question; Why oh why is there an advertisment for Scientology on the site of the video? Has this something to do with youtube?

If youtube supports Sects I'm heading as far away from utube as possible asap.

    Michael

  • Thanks for the comment Mikey

We have recently become "Youtube partners".

This means that there is some advertisements placed on our site. Scientology must be one of the advertisers.

  • By the way - CONGRATULATIONS on making partner!

  • How WONDERFUL! I love Seamus and your portrait of him really captured his sweet nature! Madeline stays really well, doubt she'd do so more than a minute though. I imagine its very hard to have a dog "sit" for an artist (vs. an artist sitting the dog) LOL :)

  • Thanks very much LadyP for your lovely comments.

Good to hear how you are all getting on.

It was really lovely painting Seamus, he is such a beautiful dog. It was a pleasant surprise being made a Partner.

    Wishing you all the best.

  • well cute!! Very nice :D Congrats 5 stars!

  • Thanks very much T

    Lovely to hear from you.

  • Do you paint two legged friends?

  • A cute doggy and a good likeness too! Well done on making Partner too!:)

  • Thanks AJ, we enjoyed doing the work.

It's fun being a partner, I'll take bets on you making partner shortly.

All the best to you both:)

  • I have a few videos with copyrighted music! I could take them down but I put a lot of work in! Is the money any good?:)

  • Too early to say yet AJ.

From US parters we talked to, we understand you'd be doing well to get $50.00US a month.

  • Hmmm every little helps I suppose, but if you get featured again then that will shoot up I am sure. Either way, good luck and I will still be watching!:)

  • You can keep all your videos on YouTube, you decide which videos to allow advertising on.

  • That is a good thing, in that case I may look into it:)

  • I have had Schnauzer's most of my life..3 to date, and I highly recommend them..absolutely perfect in nature! I loved the video, Thanks for posting Willie!

  • Thanks for your comments.

Schanuzer's are wonderful dogs, you are right, they are such sweet natured. They have great shape and posture too, lovely to look at:)

Love your Waterboys video, must have been great to see them in Cork.

    Wishing you all the best.

  • Lovely painting of the dog. Miss Violet

  • Thanks Miss Violet.

Do you have any animal companions?

  • I do and I wonder how much it might cost to have her painted please. Thank you. Miss Violet

  • OK, I will patiently wait for your painting of a basset hound. LOL! Seamus is totally adorable. I love your work. I wish Chaps and Emma could sit (or not sit) for you. Love, Cat, Chaps and Emma

  • Hello to you all

Maybe if Sadie, our lovely Basset friend comes to visit again, we'll have the opportunity to paint her portrait - we'd need a bigger canvas though:)

Wishing you all the very best, and thanks for your comments

  • How come you are not on this channel?

  • WHAT IS IT WITH YOU PEOPLE AND YOUR HEADLINES?? My favorite from the BBC site was, "Scuba Divers Found Safe in Wales."

The title of this one made me think a dog was lifting each of his four legs, one at a time, to get loose from a sticky canvas!

    I think I need another Abbot's.

Seriously, this was great! How long did it take to do?

Do you have any exhibits in the states planned?

  • Thanks for your comments. This painting was done over three days - two short, one long. We have exhibited often in the USA this past 4 years. We're in the Netherlands this Summer. Wishing you all the best.

  • A good friend had a dog like this one. His father named him after his boss Roman. Roman was the funniest little dog I ever met.

  • Yes, I'll agree with you there, they are great little dogs. Thanks for the comment.

  • What a sweetheart - the four legged friend I mean:)

  • The artists are sweethearts too, sorry I forgot to say that:)
