I find it interesting after watching this, something my little brother said to me. He said that as a required project for one of his high school classes, they were to learn the various belief systems of the world... however, he said that it focused primarily on Christianity and Taoism. Christianity for obvious reasons, as most of the class is Christian, but Taoism was a bit of a mystery to me. Granted, the school did not praise one belief over another, but it did focus longer on those two.

Well, i an not an expert by any means in Taoism, but one thing on it of which I do know is that it says that the people should willingly subvert to even the worst injustices against them, they should be passive and let what will be, become manifest. Now this is great if you want to live your life by that, but I think that teaching this to a generation in whose benefit it would be to stand up against tyranny, is just another tactic. quite clever though.

The (false) testimony about Afghanistan was obtained through torture. That was against Geneva conventions. He pardoned himself by rewriting the way America interprets the act and redefined torture.
