whats up man...by da way how do u play more than 1 sample at the time when i try it keeps on cutting the sample played previously, i knoe it is somewhere but can t remember...help me out ...
Your a moron. "Average White Band" Is a band. He is not calling the stones an average white band...Those are two different bands. I think you need to get into music yourself pal.
Wel, i think he didn't say that the stones are an average white band ... he took samples from the stone AND average white band (which is the name of a band) ;D
hope your learning goes well, and be sure to post videos when you do finally get the hang of it! :) I want to get an MPC once I finally get the money (though I doubt that I will in the near future)
BTW, props for the Odelay CD in the background. <- big fan of Beck
Thanks, man - it's actually the vinyl LP, and autographed - I met Beck in Santa Cruz by chance after a show one night. My favourite artist of all time.
Thanks. ("Buy?" Damn. Just a hobby for me!) Always wanted to get into drumming, never got around to it though. I'm a better DJ, somewhat (see related videos.)
that beat was sic! i could definitely hear this out in the clubs or in an ad campaign. that machine is a beast. very fresh and creative beat there, man. i liked the track mutes a lot. share some more!
Club-worthy? A Country club, perhaps? ;) heh.. Nonetheless, thanks. The actual "quicksilver girl" sample made up a lot of the base of the loop, I was layering elements on top of it. The rest stand fairly well combined, though.
I was trying to show the different samples used at first, and some variations of beats I tried before just playing the sequence I already had in mind. It wouldn't have been very interesting if I just played the resulting loop, know what I mean?

Ha! Perhaps the Stones -are- an "average" white band?.. A lot of people would say they're exceptional, but I'm sure they have their critics.
scottschiller 4 years ago
lol. this whole conversation has become very confusing.
rollershoer4life 4 years ago

"The Weight" - word. I'm also a fan. Lots of people heard it in 2005 when it was used in a Cingular commercial, oddly enough.

if your spending 2000 dollars why not just invest in a drum set?

How do you cut the samples and then get it on it? Just a memory card? I am very interested in maybe getting a sampler soon. Seems like a lot of fun.
Nevan 4 years ago
fun and hard work. after you sample from a record or from a movie you trim the sample on the mpc it self
conmanduck 4 years ago
that shits weak! you should just sell it now!

ROLLOUTTHEROK 4 years ago
It's a 2500, got it from Guitar Center for something like $1799 I think about a year ago. You should be able to talk them down a little bit.
scottschiller 4 years ago
would they seriously drop the price down a little?
TheProspect 4 years ago
Yeah, it was $1999, and I asked the guy "what can you do for me" on the price - he got the price down so I was out the door at $1700 or so.
scottschiller 4 years ago
i wouldn't buy your tracks, but keep havin fun...maybe pick up a pair of drumsticks some time and learn some rhythm...
