The cat was not playing - it was defending it's territory and wanted to be left alone. It is simply terrifying how unobservant people can be.

I have yet to see a video of a skunk owner who did not display symptoms of deep delusion.

@claritynow When a cat opens its arms and rolls onto its back, that's invitation for play. The cat was not afraid of the skunk. If it truly wanted to be left alone, it would. Cats are vicious when they are serious. Cats are not pushovers unless they are enjoying whats going on or don't care. If it was "defending its territory", it's doing a horrid job. I have 3 cats and when one pesters the other and he doesn't want it, it doesn't last very long. Cats can be cold.

Skunk came with no smelly thing very clean animal. He has a natural tendancy to eat snakes and the cats tail looked like snake. The cat could go else where but choose to stay on the bed and bait to skunk we have seen them do this several times.

While I have two cats now and am perfectly happy with them I always have wanted to have a pet skunk after I learned about them and searched up information about them.

The information sites can only give you so much information.

As someone who owns a pet skunk, do you feel it takes much time to care for them properly (feeding, giving attention etc).

I wouldn't get a skunk now as I am to often away from home and I understand they need much attention to become social.

Skunks track and kill snakes so the cats tail looks like a snake. From the day we got the skunk the cat used to taunt him with his tail. I think the cat enjoyed teasing the skunk. The Skunk was named Stinky and the Cat is Sex. We ended up giving the skunk up to a lady who had 11 of them already, but he was fun while we had him. We still have the cat.

Just come to the northeastern part of Los Angeles, California around the Glendale, Eagle Rock, Pasadena area. There are plenty of them here! It seems like not a day goes bye when I either don't see a skunk or smell one.

Ozzyy-They sell skunks as pets they can be hard to find though.They are just like cats they don't have to be caged and when you go away just put them in a room without wires.:) I am getting a skunk soon.
