Guys come on wtf comparations are these? Skyrim = Your own history kinda of... FF7 already as the History in front of you, yhea you have some side quests but do you guys want to compare the about of quests there are in skyrim? But FF7 was the finest RPG in the year that came out, and if Sony had made the remake of it i would have bought it in no time because i have alot of good memories of the game and it was AWESOME... It's not just that, with Final Fantasy you learn about the characters has you play along, you get a story which builds up and you get attached to the characters. Not just that, the cut scenes and music are out of this world, the battle system may not be the best but a least it makes you think your next move moe unlike some games. I wish I could show the younger generation how good this RGP series really was.

I love Elder Scrolls but Final Fantasy was and is the best RPG series of all time. Maybe the newer titles suck but FF7 and FFX shit on Elder Scrolls. Comparing the two is kind of stupid but FF7 was just so much more memorable and emotional and actually had hard boss fights unlike Skyrim. Same goes for FFX the story and characters were just amazing and the Monster Arena provided end game challenge unlike running around clearing easy dungeons in Skyrim.

@Starfox513 I am holding my hopes for that they will make them better! I have a secret wish that they will celebrate the 20 year anniversary of FF7 with a remake, probably for the PS4 (if PS4 will be released before 2014) and that they are working on it as a secret project, that's could explain one cause why FF versus is taking SO LONG TIME!

But I have nothing more to base it on that a wish =/ =(

@Yuzuki1337 Well that's more reason for the next consoles not to push ahead with power - let developers be able to do more at a faster rate on this stretch of technology first. It will inevitably happen one day - it's happened to 1-4 and even 10. 5 and 6 should get a 3ds remake first though. 7 remake will most likely be portable as the rest have been - it gives more excuse for them not to make it an ultra realistic cinematic experience (like 13 or more so)

I, personally, would have voted for this on the basis of the music alone - but the story just makes FF7 near-perfect. It's definitely my favourite Final Fantasy game. When Nobuo Uematsu left the franchise, it was the beginning of the end of FF's brilliance.
