These aren't wild animals who can just be "turned loose". That would be almost as cruel as what we see here. They require humans to take care of them. If that's not possible (or practical), they should be quickly put down. Although, lacking personal firearms, I don't know how the 'farmer' could have accomplished this. Maybe asked soldiers for help.

@hobatu That is a complete and utter lie that Chernobyl is a lush wildlife reserve. The grass and soil will be poisoned for the next 100,000 years. The only living creatures there are birds, wild horses, wolves, and boars. Doesn't qualify as lush.

Ive avoided most stories about japan that starts to mention animals, i quickly exit the page/article. It just scares me i will read things about the suffering/death of domestic pets. I know i need to read it but its too sad , i cant handle animal cruelty/suffering.

i cant handle seeing things like this, its heart breaking . When are people going to take nature seriously, your living by the coast ..in JAPAN, where its well known for tsunami's and earthquakes ... yet they have a nuclear power plant right in the quake zone.

Shocking, but people need to know in the end. This is the result of corporate and government idiots all convincing themselves of how 'safe' nuclear power is. It's too late now, nobody can really go in there and help these poor animals. Even if they were set free, they would probably perish of radiation poisoning from eating all the local grass which would be 'laced'. This whole nuclear scenario just sucks, once it's out of the bottle, you can't put it back in :/

Someone simply needs to let the loose. Its not like a car is going to hit them if the town is abandoned. They will be able to find water and grass on their own. Very sad for japan

I heard a comment on Rense the other night where he commented to his interviewee had they also seen the death and dieing in Japan... People do need to see this - hate to see when individuals cut & run w/o thinking about animals under their care to suffer whereas they least could of done something more...this is seen in most natural disasters in the states by media news where many animals are abandoned by their owners & family pets.
Hope these surviving dairy cows gets attention & least that person taping the scene contacts authorities or other farmers?

This makes me SO furious and breaks my heart. I understand the people would choose their own safety first but it hurts to see all those dead cows and live ones abandoned. I REALLY hope the person filming contacted some farm ( hopefully not a factory) to take care of these cows.
