  • I do not see any updates here. I am curious how it turned out

  • Thanks for the explanation - I'll be keeping an eye out for future updates! :)

  • The leg mechanism seems to run very smooth! Definitely one of the best renditions of the Klann mechanism I've seen so far.. it seems to be on par with the Theo Jansen linkage in temrs of smoothness.. impressive work!

  • Wow, Thank you. That is high praise. We are very optimistic and anxious to see it working, but we have put it on hold until after Burning Man. Not that I am a burning man person, but they let us in anyway.

  • What are your plans for the mechanism? I've found your website, but I'm confused as to what you are building. the site mentions a legged bicycle - but your first sketch shows a side-by-side arrangement?

If you'd go for a side-by-side arrangement, wouldn't you need three more sets of leg assemblies so the machine wouldn't tip over?

I'm subscribing to your channel btw, wouldn't want to miss any future updates. ;)

  • Hi Akumabito, We are going to try for two more sets for a total of three sets of three legs. The rear set will follow unpowered. It will also be articulated for steering. I think that if the joint is complex then the bug might walk over rough terrain. The question is will it carry two people or even one. It may crumple into a small pile. Bman is over. We're about to get started again.

  • Great Scott.

  • so are you building a walking vehicle? me too, but only with 2 legs (bipedal). this looks really good.

  • Does that thing need 1.21 Gigawatts?
