i never understood why Quake changed so much after the first episode. It was a weird, dark-fantasy with a bit of sci-fi ok, but how it became quake 2, then quake arena and quake 3, i dont get it.

Guys Im looking for help , I cant remember the name of a really old racing/shooting games where you could design your vehicle and put what ever weapon you wanted. It was for the PC and I remember that you could do custom matches and just crash your car. The box of the game was yellow.

My dad used to have a game on his computer and i thought the name of it was blood but it isnt.. this game he had was an fps and in my memory a combo of HL and Doom.. (if you get my drift) it was in space.. and there was oxygen and shields and health.. weapons were gained by finding them usually on a pedestal somewhere. Anyone know what game I'm talking about? the loading screen was black with white lettering.. its killing me..!

@MrThembones i looked into it.. those aren't it. the loading screen was black i remember like a dos window type thing. I remember it used a CD though. because the cheat codes for oxygen and shields my dad had written on the inside cover hehe. and the name was shorter. there were robot turret things that hung from the ceiling i remember too. unfortunately my dad cant remember the game at all.. :/

yeah when it comes to half life it has a really good story compared to the other games of that time. first of it looked very realistic and it is really realistic since you can interact with people and effect the world around you. and also the other games had like episodes and cut scenes and you play the game map by map. so isn't half life, in half life there is like one big map and one big episode and there is no cut scenes in half life. so half life was a very special game when it came out :)

thats when i was 4 year old....

i realy used to feel the game.... they were few but u can nrealy feel how vauable they are.... they were made to be games... look at our games now...... all the graphics all the effects... still its not enjoyable.... before they were something realy great but now..... so lame... no fun... they stress the fuck of your nervs... and in insharable ....... simply no fun... i wish some good guy shows up and maked a company that makes "games" *cry*
