  • Why does everyone play this so fast?

It sounds like a clumsy teenager fumbling with his girlfriend in the back seat of a car, trying to get to the finish line as fast as possible....I mean, well remembered, all those notes and all.

  • IMO Save the money for John King's book, I just bought it. It's worth the sixteen bucks or whatever.

  • please could you post the tabs so everyone else can learn this wonderful song on uke?

  • @monoyamono Hi. If interested, I'm still looking for a victim to try my ukulele/renaissance guitar arrangement of Bach's aria, Ich will dir mein Herze schenken. :^)

  • @mediaevalguitartab i'm not very good, but i AM interested! send me the arrangemet.

  • @monoyamono Brilliant! In principle, the arrangement should be available here, under the Baroque tabs page: sites.google.com/site/mediaevalguitar

Incidentally, I have ukulele arrangements of Bach's Agnus Dei and of Allegri's Miserere Mei available , but I haven't posted those yet. I look forward to your assessments!

  • Awesome. Seriously awesome

  • Where are the tabs for this? can anyone tell me ive been looking for awhile. There is one in John King's book classical ukulele but i dont want to pay money.

  • Nice one teach! Beautiful

  • Cool smooth!

  • that was incredible...VERY impressive.

  • What an amazing rendition. Johan Sebastian Bach is my most FAVORITE composer EVER! Thank you for this performance.

  • AMAZING

  • damn. you play like a pro! very deliberate and methodical. perhaps i should take a cue from you there. that's quite an ambitious piece to attack with such a tiny weapon. :?p you've done so quite successfully. Bach is the man. keep on rockin'!

  • dam i wish i could hv the tablature

  • wonderful.....

  • Hello dudes, do you have the tablature ? :)

  • there just arnt enough stars to rate a good this is fantastic !!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG BRAVO!!!!!!

    i love it!!!

  • The whole piece is wonderfully played, but the ending is just breathtaking..

  • played with great tenderness and feeling. i absolutely adore this. the ending -- oh my gosh -- what an incredible ending. phil shapiro

  • Bravo!

  • awesome!

  • So beautiful =D

  • holy shit this is crazy

  • the ending is angelic. great!

  • =o Did you have tabs for this?

Or did you simply learn it from the music sheet?

  • Is your uke tuned with the low G for this version?

  • Actually no - you can hear the high rentrant G string especially when the pedals come in around the 2:06 mark

  • Darn good show! Thank you.

  • "about this video : hmmm - maybe a bit high-brow"

no, not even close it is eclectic.

I love it, and where else am I going to hear a living version of "Bach : Prelude"

    keep it coming

  • relaxing tone i like it!

  • Kudos Maestro. You may be the first to do this on the uke and it's a nice match.

  • hey wookie could u give me the tabs for this please?

looks like a great song to start off on my ukulele escapapdes C:

  • hey wookiefatcat,

    thats nice !!!!

    :-)

    ..have something special 4 u !

    bach bwv 1008 improvised !

    look for vid :

    "bach sarabande jazz guitar" !

    regards !

    :-)

  • That's quite nice! Thanks!

  • Bravo! I thought this was going to be a gag until I heard your playing. I'll take Bach on a ukulele over a baroque mandolin any day. Well done.

  • I'm a guitarist that just took up the Uke, and I'm really impressed and suprised at the versatility of it

  • Well done.

  • No aloha here. No aloha needed. Not to disparage Tiny Tim, but there is more that the Uke can do. Bach is a good start -- see the musician at the 2:01 mark. It's one of those divine moments in a Bach composition where -- no matter the instrument -- you can imagine God grinning in approval.

  • Stunningly beautiful. Thank you very much.

  • Score, BIG score!

  • That's really cool. I like to play bach on ukulele, did you just play from a notesheet or did you make tabs?

And no need to change anything. it's great as it is.

    Regards

    Wilfried

  • thats really nice

  • very impressive, man, for a solo act.

  • Is this where Sting got his Dowland idea? It's amazing how well it works. Well done, mate.

  • nice! did you transcribe that yourself or is there TAB somewhere?

  • I like it just the way it is.

  • nice, but too clean i think. add variation by some strumming and chord-melody and aloha. the potential is definitely there.

  • nice

  • Beautiful!

  • Bach on a uke! Lovely.

  • wow thats cool man.
