It sounds like a clumsy teenager fumbling with his girlfriend in the back seat of a car, trying to get to the finish line as fast as possible....I mean, well remembered, all those notes and all.
@monoyamono Hi. If interested, I'm still looking for a victim to try my ukulele/renaissance guitar arrangement of Bach's aria, Ich will dir mein Herze schenken. :^)
@monoyamono Brilliant! In principle, the arrangement should be available here, under the Baroque tabs page: sites.google.com/site/mediaevalguitar
Incidentally, I have ukulele arrangements of Bach's Agnus Dei and of Allegri's Miserere Mei available , but I haven't posted those yet. I look forward to your assessments!
Where are the tabs for this? can anyone tell me ive been looking for awhile. There is one in John King's book classical ukulele but i dont want to pay money.
damn. you play like a pro! very deliberate and methodical. perhaps i should take a cue from you there. that's quite an ambitious piece to attack with such a tiny weapon. :?p you've done so quite successfully. Bach is the man. keep on rockin'!
No aloha here. No aloha needed. Not to disparage Tiny Tim, but there is more that the Uke can do. Bach is a good start -- see the musician at the 2:01 mark. It's one of those divine moments in a Bach composition where -- no matter the instrument -- you can imagine God grinning in approval.
Why does everyone play this so fast?

IMO Save the money for John King's book, I just bought it. It's worth the sixteen bucks or whatever.

Is your uke tuned with the low G for this version?
rastagrammarian 4 years ago
Actually no - you can hear the high rentrant G string especially when the pedals come in around the 2:06 mark

Bravo! I thought this was going to be a gag until I heard your playing. I'll take Bach on a ukulele over a baroque mandolin any day. Well done.

That's really cool. I like to play bach on ukulele, did you just play from a notesheet or did you make tabs?
And no need to change anything. it's great as it is.

I like it just the way it is.

nice, but too clean i think. add variation by some strumming and chord-melody and aloha. the potential is definitely there.
