Always wondered how they put those bows on dogs...I want to try this on my Pugs think it would work since they have such short hair or is there another tirck to do theirs maybe?
OMGosh! Thank you so much for your videos. We just got a new shih-poo! A shih-tzu mixed with a poodle! What was that scissorish tool called, that you were using?
These bows do not come off easly but should you find the bow won't stay in place put an extra twist in the rubber band. The extra loop over the tool tighten the rubber band when applied to the dog's hair.
As long as the rubber band in still in good condition the bow may be reused. Many of my clients still have their bows after 6 weeks and still in good condition.
I do not have a video for the head bow but all you do is use the bow like I made for the ears to put on a pony tail you have made on the top of the head. Pull the hair up, place the band around the pony tail and wrap it a couple of times, until tight.

Wholyfit,
As long as there is hair to get a hold on there will be no pain to the dog. I put the bows lower on the dog to show how to loop the hair through.

Would it hurt the dog to put he bow on closer to the top of the ear?

This tool is found at Wal-Mart in the fishing section. Tell them you would like something to remove a hook from a fish.

No pain, I put the bow in the hair not the ear. The bow is about 2 inches from the ear leather.
