Macy Gray's has grating vocals and I hated her song more though I had to listen to her on the radio like a bad road accident. Ha until I heard this much better version just now. But let's not forget a lot of greats have so-called bad voices like Neil Young or so-called average voices like the Replacement's Paul Westerberg that are better than so-called great voices, at least it counts in rock music. Vocal splendor means nothin' w/o a heart behind it (my smug grating comment).
