I drove from the west side of the park at sunrise sunday morning and took various routes through the park to the east side and only saw 1 bull buffalo. My family liked to visit the park to see the deer, elk, moose and buffalo. We will not waste our time or money to visit Yellowstone again.

@bm4nu That's incredibly unlucky. The last time I went the there I saw everything you listed plus bears and what not without taking anything more than the roundabout. I know the wildlife in Yellowstone is very migratory though, perhaps it could have been due to the season?

@Embrigh when is the last time you went through the park. I only live about 3 hrs away from there.  The last time I was there was in late Sept. when the elk should of been in rut and bugling. I went to all the places I had seen elk in the past 30 yrs and never saw one.

I actually lived in Jackson Hole, WY for half the year recently... Just an amazing part of the United States. I hope the people at Yellowstone never give in to building some McDonalds or something...
