both OS are dying out I think. Nokia is moving on to Android, and Windows Mobile is getting neglected even by their premier manufacturer, HTC. I'd look into Android or webOS phones if I were you.

I agree with both things you said. Symbian definitely needs to update their OS! S60 is functional for the most part, but IMO it's ugly/boring.
