You should look at own your country before you judge others! Do you you know every American city has soup kitchen that provides free food to poor and homeless in the US. As a student from India, I volunteered at soup kitchen. If I show a video of a soup kitchen, you will not find much difference.
What rubbish. India's problems...which are the caste system, religious violence, and its general mistreatment of women and children were all happening 300 years BEFORE the british even got there.
but then i will have to buy it won't i? I don't want to buy it. I want to watch it online. and i don't know who the actors are. HAve u seen the trailer? I want the movie of the trailer.
hey man....im goin 2 calcutta wiv sum american frends...is the city realy as bad as they say, or is ther like the new city which is half decnet and the old city which is shit ...or is t all mixed 2gether?
Mother Theresa was no doubt amazing and my parents helped her project during the 1940s in Cal. But i can't help thinking that with the enormous wealth of the Catholic Church that her life and goal could've been made alot easier.
I'm an anglo-indian born in Calcutta in 1956. My family moved to UK in 1959. Calcutta today is synonymous with poverty but once it was a thriving main city with multi-racial residents (jewish, french, spanish etc). 300 years of British rule destroyed India.
I am Bengali born in the U.K. and I loved this film! I can just taste and smell the atmosphere. I wish more British people saw how most of the world live and realise the humanity in all these faces! Thanks for a great creative and honest movie!
I went to Calcutta in 2005 to volunteer for 3 weeks with the Missionaries of Charity. This is a cool video. Brings back memories. We ate at Jojo's almost every day and we stayed in the Hotel Modern Lodge. It was great to see those on the video. I miss it, crazy as it was. A life changing trip. Thanks!

He trimmed my beard, and put in a new blade before starting, so it was pretty safe. I heard there was a blind street shaver in Mumbai who is popular.

Nicely made video. Made me feel like I'm there. Sounds like the pollution's a real problem though; and the traffic looks crazy!
