  • This is great. Very dark and ambient-sounding. What software did you use for the processing?

  • The sound sources were things like a singing bowl, breaking glass, crunching and stamping 5l water bottles, a didgeridoo played badly (the howling animal type sounds) a few random Blue Box sound effects and two really short samples from Peter Brotzman's "Machine Gun" ;) so there's no electronically generated sounds, all natural sounds processed. Done using Logic.

  • Alot of the sounds seem like things Stockhausen would have produced.

  • i wanna know the song

  • so that's what's inside the monolith. (geek joke/re. 2001 space odyssey)

  • That's brilliant. I really love it!

  • cool, i'd like to hear it!

  • pretty nice stuff. working on an assignment to do a horrorfilm exerpt soundtrack at the moment, so this is a bit inspiring!

  • ah no, the sound has been converted to mono on this!there was an awful lot of panning in the original, no sound was static and quite a lot began in stereo positions in relation to the images..
