No, the dots and stripes are all about the same size. The real secret to the illusion is to eliminate all outside references, the only thing they see is the bridge they're on and the rotating walls, the mind does the rest.
Neat-oh! I was talking to a guy who is the director of a famous haunted house that has one of these and he said that that was the secret to it. He said if you walk backwards it's twice as disorienting.
The tunnel cost about $1000 to build ($400 lumber, $200 drive system, $100 lining, $200 hardware, $100 canopy), I know that's a lot to spend for a home haunt but I'd do it again in an instant. People absolutely love it!
Just a note, the walking surface people are on is absolutely level, they are stumbling about because of the effect of the rotating tunnel.
