It runs on 6 AA batteries. The voltage out put is 4.5dc. it uses two 4.5 vdc battery configurations in parallel. you can get about 1 - 2 of run time on fresh batteries. Saber power requirement and run times can very depending the LED , how many accent LED's and the type of sound module used.

long time ago in stone crest mall in the book store just out side i saw light sabers behind the desk and they were glass so i think they'd be kinda pricey they ain't plastic that glow or anything a glass tube on a 'metal' light saber handle not plastic xD if i had the money i think id buy the mbut i didn't even have money :(

What LED did you use for this? The same one that comes in the Joe Jedi Kit? I'd love to see some instructions on how you modded/installed this, as I'd love to do the same with my Windu...
Great job! Purple blade with luxeons! I'm very curious, how bright is the blade compared to something like a red luxeon III at 1.5 amps? It's all about the efficiency of that optic.
Awesome job man. I really wish the UV had worked out. It was probably bulk leds. Amanita recently got one working. not sure if it was from kaidomain or TCSS, but it works. I was looking forward to sending you a test blade when they come in. Let me know if you decide to test another UV. I don't blame you for being jaded though. The whole thing puts me off a bit.

Some on fx-sabers like Maul were saying it's a first. Just pointing out that it wasn't... even Ultra made some pink blades with the pro-light a while ago.

I used a reflector like the ones found in the Ultra DIY kits. I drilled the LED opening out a little to fit the LED.

Nice, not the first to use an RGB though, maybe with Rebels though Tetmatek did one two years ago and the pic is in the TCSS forums.
You could switch to a lens if you got the right one... Rebel lens holders are shorter by about 2mm.
