I kinda like her, but not singing the national anthem. Personally it's always bothered me when singers have put their own stamp on it. Sing it straight or leave it alone. If the audience can't sing along for all your embellishment, then shut it. It kinda seems wrong to personalize a national anthem. It's representative of a nation, or it's supposed to be anyway.

she isn't from America. But i don't think it should matter what country a singer is from in order to sing another country's songs. Like for example, Celine has performed some of America's songs at events and did an amazing job on each song. Celine's renditions of "Star Spangled Banner" and "God Bless America" rank with the best renditions.

Wow! The last time I recall hearing that stadium's crowd sing the national anthem in unison with such a boisterously powerful manner was during the Blue Jays' World Series games @ home during the early 90's!
