YIKES!!!! This is really Crazy. So many things you got goin on there it's like a party on your melodies there! hahaha please do Wave / Joanna Julia soon!!
Thank you! TABs are really hard to do but I have an alternative: Please look at my recent video "Solo Fingerstyle pop and jazz guitar: Excerpts and samples" to see what my DVDs look like and also click on "more info" to learn more. Thanks again!
This is very very good, I really like you style. Can you tell me how you create that warm, full sound on your amp? I have a ibanez artcore jazzguitar, quite the same model as yours I think, but I haven't found a real jazzy sound like yours.
Thank you! No, it's not worked out, otherwise it would have sounded good. I don't have the patience to work out performances prefering instead to learn new tunes (quantity over quality...). If you examine the "heads" I play (please don't...) you'll see that I play the most basic changes. Perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to actually work something out with interesting harmonies. Anyway, please subscrice and stay tuned for lots more. Australia, Ey? I plan to upload soon my version of Overkill.
But surely you are too modest. You aren't just playing basic chords in the solo section. I seem to hear quite a few altered chords! And even if there aren't, your rhythm and feel are fantastic.
Thanks, the world CAN use more hugs...! I enjoyed your videos as well and will post some comments. I just posted another video this morning of Eye In The Sky for solo jazz guitar. Although I do play many many standards, I prefer nowadays to play more recent pop tunes in order to get the attention of a younger audience turned on to jazz. Stay in touch!
i'm a jazz standard fan and you are soooooooo one of my favourites at the moment, i wish you were nearby and i would definitely sign up for master classes.... this is not me blowing smoke...very seldom do I find a musician who intruiges me, martin taylor was the last one..... and HUGS are free and i agee we should be giving them away by the bucket load ....
I hope that moment lasts a while... I have had a number of requests for lessons, perhaps I can post a video of some kind. Any particular topic you'd be interested in? Oddly, I have had many (5...) Requests for TABs or a lesson on my arrangement of Babylon Sisters despite not being viewed that much.
yes ...fabulous you should post an educational video.... for me the basic melody is easy to achieve on solo guitar but i feel i start repeating idea's when i improv... and find i pedal a bass note rather than make is move .... if i was to come to you for tuition i would ask you to improve my improv on solo guitar .... how to keep the song happening without sounding like there's a pause in the rythm section when you solo....... but thats my wish..... here's some more hugs and even more Keira
