  • We have an APEX 40" LED TV (LE40H88). It does not have an audio out connection, only a headphones jack. How do i connect an xrocker speaker seat to the TV? There is no cable box to connect to, either (coax goes straight to TV.) Thank you.

  • Hi i have a question, iv'e just bought a 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound system and was wondering what lead would i need if it says on the back of my sub woofer -

6-CH INPUT and AUX INPUT to be able to have surround sound coming from my xbox?

It also says "COAX/SPDIF OUT" on the back of my HD TV. Any help will be much appreciated

  • some amplifier with optical in and bass, treble and balance for my headphones and i will be happy :)

  • All lies.

  • I've got Home Cinema System LG HT303SU and also I have bought xbox 360, the question is the cable SPDIF can fit in xbox 360 but not on Home Cinema System, so I was wonder which cable will I need to work the sound from xbox 360 to Home Cinema System?

  • OPTICAL Cable is THE BEST better quality (just one light cable) even than HDMI (multiple cables in side )

  • he is soooooooooooo high

  • i wish i had what your taking.

  • fuck the optical audio light, your fucking facial expressions "blows my mind"

  • Thank You!!!

  • Really good video, helped me alot!

  • I have the Optical out from my computer going to my receiver... Great quality...

  • So if my computer has a SPDIF audio interface i can plug my 5.1 speakers in by the orange digital cable?

  • @BMSSstudioes Orange digital cable? Do you mean a fiber optical cable? If so then yes. That is how I have mine connected. The optical cable connects my computer to my stereo receiver.

  • a question now.i have my ps3 connected via hdmi!!in a few days i will get a reciever and a digital optical out cable!!why reciever has a hdmi?i have to get another hdmi?

  • If I Have My 360 And Blu Ray Player Hooked Up To My HDTV Via HDMI, And I Have My TV Outputting Audio Via Red And White Cables To My 5.1 Surround Sound, Am I Getting Real 5.1, Or Just 2.1 With 5 Speakers?

  • Not so fast beardy, most players downsample the digital signal before outputting to hdmi, so the only good way is still via firewire or analog rca.

  • HDMI can't do 9.1

  • light pipe...? lol

  • "want to smoke a bowl too?" jesus christ, this guy seems like a stoner.

    woah mannnn... liight pipeee.

  • @colinstu Lol, yea sounds like the type.

  • WhatI am trying to do is hook up spdif from my nvidia 275 card to my sound card but no stupid sales man in maryland sells just the spdif wire which is just worth $2..... JERKS! and no I do not want to try ebay.,

  • he did not explain SPDIF at all.

  • Yeah, definitely a little frustrating. He also sort of implied that Toslink (or fiber optic) was better than the coaxial digital connections. In practice they both sound identical.

  • he never implied that. he just thought it was amazing how sound could travel as a light signal

  • Is there a way to split hdmi into a seperate video and audio output

  • No they are sent on same cable and you need electronic to split it.

  • This is aimed at morons. Sigh.

  • yeah lol.

"Does this blow your mind or what?!"

...*Errr, well not really because ive seen these connections like a million times before*

  • Where can i get the orange COAXIAL cable?

i mean where to buy it???

  • Best Buy...

  • God bless the HDMI.

  • Not much bro! if u have a PS3 and u want 5.1ch U'll need to use Optical to over the receiver!

  • Yeah.

  • Why would that be? HDMI is capable of carrying up to 7.1 channels of audio. Just plug the HDMI into the receiver and then the receiver to the display.

  • besides HDMI, optical audio is the best audio cable??

  • Yep...either Optical or Coaxial.

  • my home theatre system is quite olde, it has a phono jack, is there any way i can get a converter/adapter that will allow optical to phono?

  • Now Optical is the best audio output you can get....but if you use too old dvd-players or other older things with optical audio...the sound might get quiker to the speakers than the image will get on the screen.
