McCain once supported the Dream Act. It is basic decency. He now opposes it as he fights off J.D. Hayworth in a GOP primary that is all about being seen as tough on immigrants. McCain was once willing to call out the extremists in his party. Now hes trying to prove hes one of them.

I agree 100%. The problem is that their is no current way to get that "right"... The DREAM ACT would do just that. This individuals are not criminals or menaces to society, they are an asset. If you show academic excellence then you should be rewarded with a green card.

I've paid taxes my whole life, and my parents are working three jobs to put me through school. Why can't I, the legal US resident, get more money to go to college (I do go to a state school for in-state tuition) since I've been paying in my whole life and obviously can't afford it?

If the dream is NOT a one time thing i think it should be four years of university or military or two university and two military; you can't do it then be deported.
