@4danbruell Other round abouts in North America are much bigger. With two trailers on the back, this is to tight. Rubbing or driving over curbs should not have to happen
great vid respekt to you. come to denmark we have citys only wit roundabouts like the uk they are to SMALL some truck drivers go strait tru them over the curb and the grass in the mitle just want to say thank you for some werry cool videos sean best regards meier from dk...:-D
this roundabout it small??!! USA clearly differs from us.
im from the uk and nearly all roundabouts here are smaller than that. most are MUCH smaller than that, there called mini roundabouts. i would have said this is a big roundabout, at least certainly not small. seriously google image uk mini roundabouts.
You're right, that roundabout looks too small. You should be able to keep your cab on the roadway and your trailer allowed to go on the apron. That's the main reason for the apron in the first place; the second being that cars are forced to slow down instead of FLYING through the roundabout and t-boning each other.
What would have happened if you hadn't driven your cab onto the truck apron? A properly-designed roundabout allows you to keep your cab in the roadway while the trailer sweeps across the apron.
Yea.. they're supposed to be small so cars are forced to slow down. But this seems like a heavy truck rout so maybe they should be a bit bigger. so even after you used the truck apron, it was still too small or could you fit every single time? Because the last time I checked, most small town traffic light intersections are a much bigger problem when trying to turn right or left.
That's the Agassiz/Rosedale bridge. A trucker went off it a few years ago. They found him still in the cab. It's bad in the winter with the wind howling out of the canyon.
OH yeah, I remember them from when I was in Vancouver. Some places they call them traffic circles or rotarys. Anyway, my compliments on running the big truck through there.
I noticed you drive a day cab from one of your videos but also noticed the doubles too. Did you wing it thru with the doubles? I drive a 379 extended hood with condo sleeper and a 53' refer man I hate them round abouts and them downtown Philly and NYC corners!
yep. the wheels on the back trailer almost touch all three curbs (2 right, 1 left) I drove thru it once or twice when I started driving, and I had 53'ers. It is worse with them. thiese turn more like a 48'.
wow you must really be a great driver. I've seen some pretty awesome vids u've done they are amazing!!! and wow that woman narrating sure sounds like a hottie! stay safe out there
hey nice moves...didnt look that bad...quick wide turns. lol. If the inner island was wider/bigger then the roundabout would be easier, would it not? Anyway nice work!
thanks. when you look at the roundabout, the inner island is set back. the red area is a ride over curb, so its "easy", but it should be twice as big. going thru there, my b box tires are almost grazing the curbs. They put that in instead of lights, adn no one I've talked to likes the r'bout

This is pretty large in comparison to the mini roundabouts you find in England. Google it, they literally have a 6ft diameter

Yea, the size seems sufficient for normal traffic but a heavy truck rout might warrant a bigger roundabout. It beats waiting at a red light though!

a good driver can fit every time. however, with that said, there are ALOT of tire marks on the inside of the apron curb.

We have a ton of those round abouts here in sweden. And most of them are pretty small.
I think they're good when there's a lot of traffic, but at night they're mostly trouble.
Nice video!
