I have the same haircut (asian mullet), i definitely recommend it to people ^.^ it makes ur hair very light weight and adds volume to the top, plus- it doesnt require a lot of maintenance. The only con is that there are certain hairstyles that are harder to do because the layers fall out but thats not a big deal if you like the "messy" hairstyles:)

I have a question. I have layers. I want them to grow out and have my hair all cut evenly, but i have split ends. Should I trim it?.. Or leave it?. Help?

@thebluedancer5678 It depends on how bad your split ends are. Since you want to let your hair grow out, trim most of the damaged ends off and then trim it regularly (every 3 - 4 weeks). Use less heat and be gentle with it, especially the ends. If you do use heat, use heat protectants or syrums... NOT hair spray!!!... before taking heat to it. Do hair treatments and deep condition it once a week to prevent the split ends from becoming super damaged ends (aka dead ends).

Using the razor in this video would kind of hurt y our hair if you haven't had your hair cut with a razor before. Use those japanese or "emo cutting razors". Know through experience. T_T

@25yulitza if you have thick, course hair... NO! Even if your hair is completely wet, you can get split ends when using a razor. :[ But fine to medium hair is okay to razor cut. Just make sure hair is wet, not damp or "almost" dry.

I took your pic to the hairdresser who told me she's never seen that cut before. I ran out of there quick smart (plus she had terrible hair herself). I finally bought myself a razor comb and did it myself. I screwed it up a little on one side because the razor was sharper than I realised but once straightened it's not noticable and everyone has been commenting on how hot may hair looks now!
