i have the same netbook. I bought it with 1gb and haven't upgraded it. But it is so slow and drives me crazy (i am spoiled by mac). would upgrading to 2 gb help the speed? if so, is there anything i should know before upgrading to 2gb since I have been using it with 1gb?

Looks like it's intended to be user-serviceable. I don't think that was the case in previous models of the Aspire One.

Your info box is wrong buddy, you don't get twice the "space" you get twice the RAM. Twice the space would be hard drive space.

Hi, I just bought this same exact netbook, i also bought the 2gb ram up grade, but when i installed the new ram the netbook turns on but the screen remains black and then it turns off after a while. Can someone please help me??

You can install a 800Mhz.

No real benefit with 800 RAM in this unit since it will clock down to match the processor anyways.
