  • for all people out there...holograms in mid air doesn't exist...it's impossible to stop light in mid air

  • I CAN MAKE IT A TOUCH DISPLAY.....IT CAN BE OPERATED BY TOUCHING IT AND USED AS A COOL FLOATING GADGET...NEED SOME HELP FOR EXPERIMENTS

  • i want 2 be like tony stark

  • Sick

  • is this for sale

  • This could be kind of scary. I like the idea for consumer technology but it could be potentially disastrous/deceptive on a mass-scale (like making a hologram of an alien spaceship to scare the living daylights out of people, which would be advanced psychological warfare)

  • @fannyslapper33 already *are*

  • There already is 3d images that you can interact with. Go to microsofts channel they use the kinect with it

  • 드디어 미래로!

    Finally!, Back to the future!

  • That's impossible! that looks like cheating us! i saw a hologram display from Japan, but it was sucks. it was principle of raser and it couldn't change into the colorful display! but look at that hologram display we watched! WOW! i think the generation we predicted has already came! And i think Japanise technology is being ruined! Also the robots! Ah! the reason i'm swearing Japan is i'm a Korean American!

  • @MetroAtrain123 The japanese did it without the glass

  • Back to the future!!

  • its a reflection on the glass with the monitor above providing separate images. The only custom thing is the glass casing.

  • i really like this video

  • i want one like in Dead Space 2 :)

  • Lmao, Japan made one without any mirrors or anything and you are able to touch it and it responds to touch.

  • I would love to have a holographic display on my watch

  • Talk about scarring people with holographic monsters, lmao i mean even if aliens do exist an come to earth later on we can give them a run for there money by generating a giant godzilla size hologram an with massive speakers yelling leave our planet or else lmao once making the hologram they will make some kind of silicone robot to be in the circumferential zone of the hologram an with a little memory card of human emotions an reenactments robot prostitution we be born future is coming lmao

  • Future is coming!

  • Fuck google ads

  • here we go again...get real

  • WOOT

  • "SEGA" COUGH COUGH...

  • CoOL!

  • When they can produce real looking holograms in normal air just like star wars, that my friends is when I'll know I'm living in the future.

  • @maggru91

haha that's exactly how I feel.

  • @maggru91

That is what DARPA is working on, and said have produced a prototype.

  • @maggru91 you should have watched the video game awards, you are in the future my friend

  • @maggru91 they can already do that, but public dont have access to it. its actually really easy, some secret tech has been admitted to being more advanced than some of the alien movies u see haha

  • @maggru91 You mean Star Trek, already got holograms of star wars caliber

  • Praise be to Flash Video

  • MIrror effects on glasses are NOT FREAKING HOLOGRAMS! This has existed for over 30 years. The freaking Haunted House on Disneyland has this. They are going on the WRONG direction.

  • i like the fish one

  • FUCKING ADS

  • fuck this is awesome!!

  • As an idea is quite good but I don't think, personally at least, that I would like to watch a movie that way. Who wants to watch the actors in such a way as if we'd go to watch them on-stage?!?!?! And I mean in general a movie with these awesome special effects and stuff. Same thing applies for the case of the Sony's 360 TV as well. As for me, I'd rather stick to and hope for the auto-stereoscopic technology WHEN it comes to the CES shelves. Please tell me if someone disagrees with my opinion.

  • do you need the big ass screen around it?...

  • Old technology. I've allready seen such dysplays in europa park in Germany.

  • @ZotiSergey guteru mariseyu suitsa ohtamsioha tokie quoitosa drenqwe slesheaq walquoptikz xontiqou gralhqe ghalteri

  • @duskedennis What you mean with that funny language?

  • this is the new next high tech screen illl be watching porn on...thank u

  • i did this when i was 10 for Halloween.

    All you need is:

    A Window

A piece of plexi glass the same size as your tv/monitor

    a monitor/tv

Just adjust the monitor/tv's settings to contrast 100% and brightness 100%

Place the plexi glass on a 45 degree angle tilting towards your window

then just play a video with a black background on the screen ( look on youtube for halloween holographic window display)

If you want place and object behind the plexi glass for a better effect.

    Your Done :D

  • dude...........thanx God !!! Someone else got brain........

(and knows PEPPER's GHOST effects AREN'T HOLOGRAMS.....)

  • @gadgetboy1234 When you were 10? Is your IQ 350?

  • Meh.

  • atleast the image is floating in the air.

  • 0:01

  • this thing does for holography as television did way back when it was invented in the silent era, then over time it improved to 3dtvs, just like this will improve over time

  • its reflecting the image off of mirrors; it does look a lot better then those awful movies that require glasses with different polarized lenses, it look like a moving flip book.

  • Pretty sure that they used this technology in the Haunted Mansion at Disney World in Florida which was built in the 60's :)

  • that's not 3 dimensional that a flipping 2d image... that's like saying a sonic coin (from classic sega games) is 3d.

  • @jasonmnosaj look @54 that's no flipping image. of course you can't see that through a non 3d video on your non 3d computer screen

  • if the interviewer would actually pay attention to what the other guy is saying ...rather than asking stuff he already told

  • wow looks big and clunkly wouldnt want that in my house

  • Lol, it's these kinds of videos that separate the just "a High school project" commenters from the 'wow this is amaaaazing!" commenters. Not that this doesn't look nice, but ha, I remember this big cylinder the size of a basketball with a crt, etc set up inside...it was a product that was purely devoted to projecting a holographic image of the ring from LotR--yay skymallll!

  • PTM MADRE!!! q es eso O_o awww xD!!!!

  • there used to be a really cheesy arcade shooter that was based on mirrors for holographic images.

does anyone remember the name of the game?

  • This episode has't appeared on Revision 3 (embed code for most recent episode)!!!

  • This isn't anything new. I played a game in the arcades 20 years ago that was exactly like this. Hologram Time Traveller.

  • nice web site!LOL

  • this would be cool if there was a giant one at like a museum that you could walk through :O

  • fuck me this is awesome! man i cant wait for 10 years down the line and see what we can do with this then

  • its just a reflection from the monitors above the tinted glass shield,... a high school project

  • a few years down the line, we ma have holographic displays like iron man's

  • Isn't it a bit ironic that it's based on Flash and they decided to make the hologram "come out" from an iPhone?

  • i can do that with motion tracking and just turn the opacity down? fakkkeeee

  • Add the sony kinect functions and this could become the new evolution in desktop computer display. Although the computer display from the movie Avatar remains to be the better way of presenting a real 3D display.

  • fake and gay

  • lol the guy's basically saying it's not for hackers the whole time

  • amazing. technology is rapidly evolving

  • yu gi oh is getting that much closer

  • this+pron+........=profit!!!!!

  • Now koreans are prepping to release holo-smartphone.

  • So make a giant room with the same specs ... holodeck! LoL

ps . didn't Sega make a video game called Time Traveler out of one of these about 20 years ago?

  • @DigitalSkyline Once saw an arcade machine with simiar dsplay, but the top was spherical, was a sword and sorcerer type game, and think it was a taito

  • holodeck here we go!

  • I love the future

  • imagine the future. everyone has one and like TV commercials project their products to you to see up close in 3D

  • this + kinect = interactive

  • @BuffaloStone14 I second that...that would be awesome

  • When are the displays inside of contacts/glasses coming?

  • Making a spot in my room.

  • umm... isn't this the same as a teleprompter or an aircraft HUD? it's partial reflection from a screen through a tinted pane.... big deal.

  • @enotdetcelfer it looks like that on a camera but with your two eyes open next to it, it really is impressive... a telepromter is not quite the thing...

  • @drappke It's mostly illusion.. "holographic" is just a name. Real holograms/3d let you see different perspectives by changing your viewing angle. If you notice, everything is usually spinning. Watch when the camera is moving but the image isn't spinning and you can see that the view of the object doesn't change. They use the angles of the reflections to keep the image in place, but you don't get a different view. Like the "hollow face illusion", the direction of image travel is just reversed.

  • Nvm, yeah it's just reflected glass. There are ways to create a hologram by colliding two beams of light of the same frequency to create a picture, was hoping this was it, but it's not. :( I agree it sucks

  • One more step to Voyagers EMH... haha.

  • i want this.....

  • now thats wicked!

  • omg that's so cool!!!

  • Wow thats epic

  • Darren thinking at 3:21 flash what a n00b all about auto desk or 3d program

  • darren: hey jeff how are you?

    jeff: im gay thank you.

  • @neorekcah ... and the point of the comment was...

  • I was expecting Darren to get the man to go into the optics of it all so we could all hak one up at home with an old crt and some mirrors.... damn

  • @michaelhamil Just google "How do Teleprompters work?"... same difference ...

  • @michaelhamil you couldn't hack your way out of a wet paper bag.

  • Lol he said it was flash like 100 time's

  • Darren seems to go over these people's heads sometimes. I hope he tells them to expect in-depth questions before the interview.

  • second!

  • first yay

    last to get laid boo

  • @vjstudio

    LOL WOW!!!
