I'd like to mention that the pix that accompany this clip are from the 1993 show. P.J. in period costume & wig etc. looked absolutely great & those of us who saw the show were astounded by his original sexy dance moves! Lots of people in the audience did not realise it was the real P.J.They thought it was a young P.J. impersonator!

At one session a veteran Italian orch leader was so stunned by Jim's vocals he asked, "Meester Proby how do you do it ?!"

Came the respectful Texan's drawled reply, "Sir, I don't do...I just AM."

I've loved the music of P.J.Proby since 1977.

Talked with him on the phone less than a week ago and he was simply amazing.

@ModGirl1967 Of course, though, Proby's vocal capacity was far beyond Presley's... he ruied his own career via some badly-seamed pants ;) [ tho' they say they didn't split at the seams ;) ]

Inhis own words, Proby has said that he could copy almost any voice, depending on what was needed!

He had one of the very Major of vocal capacities

All the pics are of P.J. onstage in 1993 & acting as himself almost 30 years earlier. He was amazing & his movement onstage was identical to the 60's with one exception this time....no pants splitting!! Ron

Wow! Another piece of history recovered for everybody to hear and see! Amazing piece of recording and amazing photos! This is P.J. playing himself and using the audience as a therapy to get his strength back again after 5 cardiac arrests and escaping from Jack Daniels' claws.

And what an escape!

We're so lucky to have PJ still among us!
