And the editor of the mainstream science magazine "Nature" calls Dr. Sheldrake's book ("A New Science of Life") "a book for burning" because Dr. Sheldrake dared to investigate this mystery and present a rational, fact-based explanation before the rest of science could.

@HurricaneHeidi I just got that exact definition in my college biology textbook! However, I think the answers will be a lot less convoluted & unlikely than "morphic fields". I still like RS, tho...
