This song came out during the summer 1996 and going to my 8th grade year. I miss watching music videos every morning during summer vacation from school. I miss my 90's music, but growing up in era was some great times.
Maaaaannnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been looking for this track for YEARS!!!!!! This track has literally made day!!!!!! Fuckin love Youtube and yo DjBlacJamz, man....... mad props on posting this classic fo real!!!!! Hell yea!!!! Now I can finally chill and party after working all day with the fellas and all my ladies
Talented with A capital T. This music was destroyed by the Industry which now corrupts our children's minds because we fell asleep and no their is 'strong delusion". Groups like this were taken for granted , given shady contracts or just shelf-ed so that the ignorance of today;s music would prevail. Lil' Tone could have even went solo, what a waste because of our haste....
Highly underrated. Not even a one-hit wonder, these guys could sing. Got caught IMO between the Jodeci/Shai/Dru Hill periods and never got a real chance to take off.
Always LOVED this jam from the first time I heard it.
THIS GROUP WAS SO UNDERATED!!! I met Levar Wilson (lead) 11 years ago... real cool dude! Last I heard he was working as a producer and songwriter with the likes of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. I'm not gonna lie... sometimes I think Usher kinda copped his vocal style a bit.. But Hey, That's just My Opinion!
Omg! This was the shyt. Cause this was around the time when all of the R&B groups were coming out tuff in the 90's... The vidoes were poppin' too... And they could sing on top of that...
@Shortee7274 sang it wit me now" u wanna be off on your own girl u wanna b off on your own!" did u see al b sure competing for amirosa in that show ultimate merger?
I aint gonna lie I had a crush on Lil Tone, lol I know he goes by TL Cross and his new stuff be jammin. I added him on facebook and he hit up my inbox, he is really cool.
I've always loved this song and have been looking for it for aq year. I just work one morning with this song in my head and hoped it was on youtube. Thank djblack!
OMG, i loved this group! I remember this well. They were definately underrated. I just feel that it was just the wrong time for them to come out. At that time music was changing into what it is now. They really could sing, and I remember jamming to this song. Fellas where y'all at? Al B. you need to get a hold of them now, cause the music industry so desperately needs this type of feel good music.
@nillawafers96 You are absolutely right. It was changing drastically and unless you had a label in your corner that wasn't gonna allow you to get knocked over by a tidal wave, you were toast. LaDae could've gone a lot further than they did, I just think that the support wasn't there. 'Cause keep in mind Motown was changing as well, and I believe that was when Andre Harrell had just taken over as Pres. And I'm really surprised they didn't do better under his tutelage.
Seriously about time someone posted the original music video. I also had this on VHS tape but it's long gone.... This song is definitely example of a sample done right. Plus this song brings back a ton of memories from when I was a teenage boy in the summer of '96.... *sigh* good times....
this songs background music is from m.jacksons show you the way to go. check out both songs back to back and see what you think. both are smooth as silk.
i remember when this was gettin alot of play on bet i however was only a rap head at the time.but due to the crappy rap my mind thought of this and i realized i love this song im 14 yrs late but it was stored in my mind
i been trying for the longest to find this song. Yeah i know the jacksons did the original version which is "let me show you the way to go" but there is a diffirence in this song. Thanks for posting this song

i been lookin 4 this joint 4 the last 3and 1/2 years and just found it today ! damn thaqnk god 4 google . cuz i couldn't figure out how to spell they name. YAY !
I remember the lead singer had the type of swag that usually propels groups into the stratosphere. What happened? Memories of '96 are dancing in my head. Thanks!!!
Can't believe I'm seeing this video for the 1st time in 14 years right now. Damn I miss the "SMOOTH ERA" right now. For those that don't know the "SMOOTH ERA" began 15 years ago this year.
