  • I know the best Dr. God he is 100% sucess. I;ve tried and works.

  • THREE MONTHS AFTER LASIK EYE SURGERY EVERTHING IS FINE I SAY DO YOUR RESEARCH FIND A GREAT DOCTOR IN YOUR AREA ☺

  • My precious eyesight is ruined now. My quality of life has been impacted greatly. The complication rate is much higher than 5%.

  • Well it depends on your doctor and how much money they want to make.

  • Oh...and BTW...LASIK complications have NOOOO plan B fix or otherwise. NONE. ZERO. NADA. Its a "TOO BAD SO SAD" type of thing...

  • 12,000,000 dived by 5% = 600,000. 600,000 people who are "dissatified" with LASIK. Wondering why? And the people too passive to open thier mouths? Hear from some that never did and those that DO. Check out "THE VIDEO THAT LASIK DOCTORS DONT WANT YOU TO SEE" here on YouTube along with "FDA Lasik Hearing" (specifically Dr. Lauranell Burch, PhD). You might just learn the truth behind it all...

  • My sympathy goes out to LASIK patients who had a bad result.

There are clinics that can fix the mistakes of others, I've heard.

  • LASik is the worst thing ever happened to me. Dry eye hurts constantly.

  • hello. Dr. Anthony Roberts with LVI in Northern Virginia ruined my eyes with PRK. He never informed me that I was a very risky patient. He now works in Baltimore Maryland.

  • I was lasiked by dr. keon nia of lasikmd and have since had to take a yr away from work due to the pain and poor vision Ive had since the procedure. dont trust this doc or any other who wants to laser your eye, these guys are interested in making money and money only as far as Im concerned. no clue how ill go on with life.

  • That 21% of people with dry eyes can be treated with Restasis...Custom lasik treats people with larger pupils. I had custom lasik done due to my large pupils, and Restasis is getting rid of my dry eyes.

  • it is 5% are they losing all the both the two eyes sight that is danger i want to do but 5% is very risk according to the eyes

  • The risks are actually higher than 5%. Six months after LASIK, 19.3% report night-driving problems and 21% report dry eyes. For a LASIK device to receive approval, FDA guidance requires that adverse events from its use fall below 1%. This ceiling for adverse events was exceeded by 20-fold in the FDA approval of lasers for LASIK. How did this happen? The laser manufacturers convinced the FDA to put these complications under a category called symptoms and not under complications. Stay away!

  • Even if the chance of problem was 1 in 1 million you're still gonna have victims bitching about lasik. What is the point? No matter how perfect the surgery is there is always gonna be somebody who is going to be dissatiisfied, it is a gamble. What is the point of these people bitching? I mean did they think that the chance of success was 100%?

  • It's a myth that all LASIK patients who suffer complications go out and complain to the public. The fact is that almost all don't tell anyone. They may even tell people that their LASIK was great and keep their LASIK complications a secret. Why would they do this? The reasons are many. Here's just 1 reason..LASIK is permanent. You can't return it like a bad pair of glasses. Therefore, many choose to rationalize their bad decision (ex. sure my night vision sucks but at least I don't need glasses)

  • @thetruth8699 Iv'e been around LASIK for 15 years and had my procedure 14 years ago (still 20/15!). I am certified to use 4 different excimer lasers and have worked with 21 ophthalmologists that performed LASIK. How can you lump all doctors and lasers into one category? That is absolutely insane! That's like saying a Ferrari and a Dodge Neon are the same and it doesn't matter if Jeff Gordon or Regis Philbin is driving! Don't price shop and do your homework - people are idiots!

  • I'm one of the 5% who is not satisfied. I've had nothing but pain and problems for the past 3 years post-lasik. No cure for the problems. No end "in sight". It's terrible!

  • I had prk and it has ruined me. The doctors lie and do not inform you about complications. My pupils were too large and they didnt tell me.

  • this would probably change color perceptions as well. it's like a green becomes gray or a red becomes orange or purple.

  • i have chronic dry eyes from Lasik it fucing sucks!!=(

  • An elective procedure, doctors will not come clean about the possible side effects of LASIK. Twelve years post-LASIK and it remains the worst decision of my entire life. Are you willing to take that chance?

  • okay it's 95% success rate but what if I happened to be one of that 5% failure rate then I'm fucked up?

  • 5% is actualy a wery high risk in operations!

  • Lets do the math folks. An estimated 12,000,000 Americans have had LASIK. The FDA is reporting a 95.4% success rate (however the LASIK industry defines success). That represents a 5% failure rate, or about 600,000 Americans and their families RUINED from LASIK. Now are the numbers making sense? The FDA is way off at only having 142 complaints over 11 years. Are you starting to understand the epidemic? Would you go up in an airplane if it crashed 35% of the time? LASIK odds are about that
