  • I'm not sure what Ooglemaster is talking about. Corvette describes (build out sheets, original titles, window stickers, owner's manual) its cars as either convertible or coupe (some earlier convertibles were called roadsters). We have 29 Corvettes and that's how they all are described, no exceptions. A coupe is a closed body style whereas a convertible (roadster) is an open body style. A removable hardtop can be a feature of a convertible. A coupe always has a non-removable hardtop

  • CORVETTE:

HARD TOP Version- Top is NOT removable like C5 Z06s and FRC for rigidity.

CONVERTIBLE Version- If you don't know it yet then do more research while you are on your computer.

COUPE Version- Has a removable tops made of polycarbonate material or Lexan from the name of the developer ( most people call it glass top) or just simply fiberglass which is normally colored.

A hardtop is where the top doesn't come off.

A convertible is where it does.

A coupe is a car with two doors. It has nothing to do with the top.
