im a mobile freelance pt. have loved the bosu for years, douglas brooks rocks. also didnt know until couple of years ago, bosu stands for "both sides up", great vid.
Wow. I actually didnt want one of these until I just say this video! My workouts have been great but I see now that theres another level yet to be achieved!
Picked up a BOSU 3D yesterday, and the thing rocks. I use a BOSU at the gym, and I am always amazed at how much you can do with it. Works so many muscles, that you see, and some of the ones you don't see. simply a great challenging workout, love it.
I agreed with 310stranger after using the bosu yesterday at the gym when trying out a new trainer. He had me doing squats and weight training (curls, etc...) while standing on the bosu round side down! I was standing on the black platform side. Very challenging for a 55 year old woman's first try on a bosu.
I liked it, but I immediately decided to buy my own bosu to use at home...and continue to use other equipment at the gym...without the trainer.
the most versatile piece of equipment in the gym love it. Yeh variety is key i do bosu sessions, core ball cable Flexibility sessions loads of weight training methods + cardio methods and loads more in personal training different benefits for different types of training it depends on who's in front of me. Motor skills are important not trendy!!!
No serious. I was getting crappy PE grades, and so I was expected to do really well on the BOSU. did the side-to-side thing at 0:42 and the pushup thing at 0:49, and my teacher was like, "Wow, that's very good!" and I lol'd.
GREAT clip featuring extremely strong, well conditioned athletes. However, from the personal training/group fitness standpoint, none of those exercises are practical, ie able to be performed by the average client/exercise class participant...
@TheDisconaut I disagree, Alot of those exercise were extremely hard, though there were quite a few in there that could be performed by a fit PT client. 0:23 for example would be great for basketball sport specific training, 0:30 could be used for more advanced deep core muscle work, and 0:33 would be fantastic as a part of an agility program, epsecially if used with a larger medecine ball. Those are just a few that i picked out that i could use on clients.
This is so COOL!!

It's harder than it looks, just to stand on it.
But it's really fun!

Go do some more bicep curls, and leave functional training to the professionals.
