I actually witnessed this tornado as I was staying in Palma Nova at the time. The winds reached over 100mph and the sky went totally black with constant flashes of lightning. We were in a cafe near the sea front and had to run inside to get out of the wind. It was so strong that it threw you back. Pretty scary at the time.

I live in Magalluf, and I remember that day perfectly. The thing is that there wasn't 238 casualties, I don't know where you got that from. There was actually only one casualty in the whole island, a security guard died while he was working.
@FireFoxx150 i was also caught up in this twister. my cuz was on that Cat shown at 1:20 ans i was in the hotel. we had only 40 secs warning before it hit.
the catamarang you can see in your video had just dropped us off from our freestyle booze cruise. walking back we got stuck in a flooded mcdonalds trying to hide from the rain. back at our hotel the rooms were flooded!
I actually live 30 mins away for magaluf. The storm was actually several tornados. We are used to storms like this..happened last year too but not this bad, and its by far the worst tornado that i remember mallorca having. (it was an F2 btw)
My Bf and I were there, in Magaluf on that day. Our hotel grounds took lots of damage, trees down etc, never been so scared in all my life, yeh ur right the locals probs thought what they worried about its nuffin, but OMG! was some scary s*it
storms in majorca seem to like me was caught in 2006,2008 and 2010 around 3rd to 24th oct

Not a tornado, a supercell thunderstorm. Tornadoes can be spawned by this type of storm however..
