The point of marching was not to excuse these young men but to demonstrate against the inappropriate charges against them; to show that decades later, the same issues still exist. In addition, I would be hesitant to label anyone as a "THUG" seeing how distorted the current charges are. From my understanding, all six supposed "thugs" are honor students. Real thugs don't care about school grades...food for thought. BTW, were you already ashamed of your race prior to this incident?

It isn't as if honor students are automatically on this level where they don't commit crimes.
