@TurtleCozUrCool Recipe is taken from the RSPB (Royal Society of the Protection of Birds) website, if you have an issue I suggest you take it up with them.
@TurtleCozUrCool Greated mild cheese and lard and indeed, unsalted peanuts, actually are good for the birds during the winter months, they provide them with fat/oils that they need. Cats, Humans and Poison kill birds.
Made me nervous when I saw the title...thought it was a recipe that included a bird in it. Instead you are now the avian version of Julia Childs...Phil...bravo!
@tps607 If it included any kind of animal I don't think it would be called a cake. It is strange to think that to be the first thing to come to your mind.
I have all that plus. I have been spending a small fortune on suet cakes at the pet store. Here it is so easy and fast to make. I never thought of looking it up on how to make those cakes. Thank you Phil for the gem video. You just saved me some money to boot. Now i have more money to spend at bingo. A big gigantic hug sent your way my friend.
Well feed birds, never thought of cheese thanks for the tip. And Thank you Phil for the share. You can spend many happy hours watching all your feathered friend enjoying your treats Lady♥ Q *****
Excellent Geraint & Phil, I've made a similar one by filling up a kitchen roll tube...the birdcake fits perfectly in to the fat ball feeder. Great editing and narration by the way. Its a THUMBS UP from me.
@Zoltrix67 Wish Sony Vegas worked properly, Had to keep listening to your voice over and over again, it sounded quite weird having to repeat you saying "lets get our hands dirty" to see if it fitted in with the image. Haha
This 'cake' Is really bad for animals. DAIRY PRODUCTS CAN KILL BIRDS.

@TurtleCozUrCool ..its not exactly 'dairy' its fat which the birds need to keep them alive. you obviously dont know much about birds.

@CpFan334 To feed to garden birds, I wouldn't recommend it for human consumption : )

I'm confused about the cheese. I didn't think birds could digest dairy products.
