  • one of the most powerful & soulful songs I have ever heard. That is saying something truly. Peace!

  • Hahahah anyone else appreciate what he's wearing? I just love him.

  • yes!!!!!

    love !!!!

  • @Shlovingit lol is that ironic church attire???

  • SOOOO CRAZZZY, love this ish. mmmmm

  • this is one of the most amazing things ive ever seen..

  • Thank you for capturing this beautiful moment.

  • This is seriously fucking amazing

  • Plays it in F. Dangit. Original is in E.

  • Well, what can I say. One symbol ?

  • the voice of the woman singing the dahs inthe background is beautiful..

i love the strings in this version!

  • that's a pretty concert hall to play in!

  • This song never gets old for me. The crescendo is gorgeous, especially with the piano and strings added. Definitely the best performance of this that I've heard.

    /must learn banjo

  • totally agree. this version is so good. Sufjan is way underrated. Its too bad not too many people know of him and his talent.

  • It's been proven he's one of the most listened to artists for those who score high on the SAT's. So that kind of explains it... hahah.

  • Isaiah 55:12.

"For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands."

  • I don't like his music that much.. but this song.. man! it's so nostalgic and I don't know.. wow.

  • Thanks everybody

  • Well Done

  • it sends shivers down my spine

    just amazing

  • I always think this song is just about to burst into a cacophonic chorus with the words of title (the future tense of which s signifcant). the tune builds till it teeters on the brink, but doens't tip over... and i think that's the point. the video captures what the cd track fails to - the final note sounds and the audience respond - clapping

  • The constantly repeating chord progression effects that quite a bit--the piece savors the lack of resolution to the tonic. I like!

  • i was there and sitting maybe 2 or 3 seats to your left...from what the video looks like. and i'm so glad that you recorded this.

  • lovelovelove

  • Lovely!
