most of them use extremely weak PW (12345, password = username and so on)
so it's pretty easy for someone to find an account, try to login with a few weak passwords, and if one of them works, putting those stupid annotations into the videos. most of the kids don't even realize this till their account gets banned ...

On some our videos it seems obvious that something 'happens' to the count - for instance there will be 20 new comments and the view count won't move and will seem never to catch up. Just curious what your take is on this.
so youtube has an underbelly. So these guys buy the accounts, and then use bots to "view" someones channel with adsense on it, and for this these guys get a couple bucks. So its a great way to screw adsense, and adsense doesnt care because the people who pay them are paying for the advertisment. Capitalism at its best, which is pure dishonesty.
The reason they need new accounts all the time is adsense quickly catches them and believe it or not, if your not making actual conversions with adsense you won't last a month...

The accounts were probably not sold, just hijacked/hacked. Spammers can also create thousands of YouTube accounts, upload a few videos to each of them so that they seem real and YouTube doesn't ban them, and then use these accounts for spamming and increasing ratings for certain videos.

This is interesting - I have often tried to figure out how this is done. How do you think YouTube or bots are controlling video counts? On some our videos it seems obvious that something 'happens' to the count - for instance there will be 20 new comments and the view count won't move and will seem never to catch up. Just curious what your take is on this.

so youtube has an underbelly. So these guys buy the accounts, and then use bots to "view" someones channel with adsense on it, and for this these guys get a couple bucks. So its a great way to screw adsense, and adsense doesnt care because the people who pay them are paying for the advertisment. Capitalism at its best, which is pure dishonesty.

Bo Duke is a great guy and has family friendly shows. He reminds me of Jeff Foxworthy and the get er done guy. He made a great video that my husband and I loved that our son watched about abstinence and waiting until you are married.
You must have no idea how horrible the kids shows are on here that millions watch from people like Shane Dawson and sxephill. They are like late night HBO.

The accounts were probably not sold, just hijacked/hacked. Spammers can also create thousands of YouTube accounts, upload a few videos to each of them so that they seem real and YouTube doesn't ban them, and then use these accounts for spamming and increasing ratings for certain videos.
