Trying to compete with WWE would be foolish for anyone. Its like a game trying to compete with WOW. You just can't.

What TNA needs to do is focus more on wrestling, and try and appeal a more mature audience. Cut down on promos, and backstage trash and get back to the basics of wrestling.
