No, they're just not designed to have the handbrake pulled on under drive conditions. There's no legit reason to do this in normal road use at all and it pushes the transmission way beyond its designed operating parameters.

The rally cars have a special centre diff to allow handbrake turns to be performed without damaging the transmission.

No owner would treat a car like the one in the vid.
