I come here from time to time to just revisit my roots in the world of hard rock and heavy metal. But the fact remains, they are still here 40 years later. Love them or hate them. @Itelkner I may have been overzealous in saying 70% came from Willie Dixon but he is who they plagiarized the most. There's at least 20+ artists/songwriters that they used their songs without giving credit to. Yeah, there are a few they did give credit to but to themselves as well for songs they added very little to or didn't change at all. I'll send you a link to some documented info. I'm sure if you goggle, there's more out there.

The entire show was supposed to be shot in Long Beach California but the home video was scraped...

Paul has recently stated how they are not playing "obscure" songs on their current tour. Wow, all these songs played in this soundcheck are obscure!! They are not playing any one of these. I know I would rather hear "Forever" then Eric singing "Beth". "Hide Your Heart" would be better than "Say Yeah". "I Stole Your Love" would be better than "100,000 Years". Am I wrong? Their setlist is stale!! But Paul and Gene say they know what the fans want. Wrong!!

Hot in the Shade was my first Kiss show. I was 15. I miss this lineup, they were so happy back then and had so much energy. I miss the non-make up days and Eric Carr and Bruce.

I greatly enjoyed this. Hot In The Shade, will always be my favorite KISS tour. They played every one of my favorite songs. I Stole Your Love, is such a great song. Seeing this tour was the best time of my life. Not a day goes by, that I don't think about Eric Carr. He was the sweetest man that ever lived. I keep one of his HITS Ludwig posters, along with a pair of his HITS drumsticks, hanging up on the wall, above my bed.
